im sorry but that does not help at all. never heard of gparted. i only have access to command line. that's it.
You are out of luck here then... you can't remake your floor while standing on it.
If you are not confident of yourself doing this, consider hiring someone and paying him a small fee. Sorry but their isn't any other easier way.
