VestaCP times out, sites all work ok

Apologies in advance if this specific case has been answered. I have searched and found similar cases but they did not solve my problem.

I have been using VestaCP for about 2 months and have installed 8 web sites. The most recent was installed about 2 hours ago.

An hour ago I went to use VestaCP at https://myip:8083 and it did not respond. My browser says:

This site can’t be reached
x.x.x.x took too long to respond.
Try:
Reloading the page
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

All the web sites work fine.
ssh works fine.
This is not a new installation. It has been working fine for 2 months.
It stopped working without any changes being made to the system.
I did switch off disk quotas just in case, but this did not solve the problem.
Finally, I restarted the VPS container, and even rebooted via ssh.

Edit:
netstat shows nginx listening on 8083

Thanks XoXiLhJ0mn. The timeout is already long, about 2 minutes so I'm not sure if that will solve it. In any event it fixed itself overnight. This morning I got the login page and logged in ok. Not sure what went wrong, but I will try the timeout fix if it happens again.

Hi, I have the same problem. Everything worked great and suddenly I can't reach the backend anymore -> timeout ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

I restarted everything, even the server. I have enough space and I'm the only user on the system.
Websites continues to work. Only the backend is affected. It's an apache+nginx installation (But I actually only need nginx)

I tried to disable the firewall and fail2ban

I don't see any relevant errors in any log... Where should I look? I hope you can help me, I don't want to reinstall T_T

p.s. I installed also php7.2 and 7.1 following this tut right after fresh install: viewtopic.php?t=16221

pp.s. For some reason v-list-web-templates-backend doesn't show anything (empty template list). It was also never visible in the backend gui. But the files are there

I found the problem!!!
It was cloudflare (my fault). I enabled the "dns protection" for the vesta subdomain in cloudflare...
