Backup and restore seems not to copy database passwords

Not sure if this is a bug in the new 0.9.8-17 version or if it works as expected.
Making a v-backupuser and v-restoreuser on a new Server, for example, seems to wipe/reset the database passwords of installed DBs of that user. After a restore, I need to go back and reset the passwords on the databases.

It could be related to, that I moved from Centos7 mariadb to Ubuntu16.04 mysqld.

Nothing major but annoying enough as I believed that worked well on previously.

Cheers
Andreas

nah definitely worked before when moved from centos6 to centos6 hosts.
However probably something fishy with the whole ubuntu 16.04 implementation as I spotted the backup is not working. its failing on the database backup with :
2016-12-06 20:04:30 user1_DB (mysql)
Error: dump user1_DB failed

trying to find the v-backup-user log to find more.
