Re: Error: vesta-nginx update failed
I received this cron email today from all of my Debian7-8 Servers. I guess it could not update Nginx as upgrade process required input to replace nginx.conf or not so it was failing through the Auto Update scripts in Vesta.
I manually did
When prompted for Nginx.conf, press enter (which is NO)
After that just manually run
to be sure it runs fine
then restart Nginx to double check everything.
I manually did
Code: Select all
apt update && apt full-upgrade -y
After that just manually run
Code: Select all
sudo /usr/local/vesta/bin/v-update-sys-vesta-all
then restart Nginx to double check everything.

Re: Error: vesta-nginx update failed
and what did you already tried? Did you checked the vesta logs? did you already tried to start the service manualy? did you read the post of mehargags? you can't expect any help one day after release of the new version with that less informations.joni wrote:ScIT I use Centos 7ScIT wrote:not possible to help if you dont provide more informations about your system: os, version, logs?

Ok, don't be angry, I don't have so much knowledge so I am asking on forumScIT wrote:and what did you already tried? I see mehargags posted for debian, can you please tell me what exactly I nees to do on centos
Re: Error: vesta-nginx update failed
You understand me wrong, I'm not angry. Running a own server needs some basic knowledge - if you, for example, don't have the knowledge to check the logs, it is hard to help you without connect to the server itself. I think the best way would be, if you book the vestacp support from their homepage (http://vestacp.com/support/) or another one will guide you trough all needed steps to locate the source of your problem.joni wrote: Ok, don't be angry, I don't have so much knowledge so I am asking on forum

Re: Error: vesta-nginx update failed
Hi guys,
I have the same e-mail with Error: vesta-nginx update failed
I am using CentOS 7.
I found this in /var/log/vesta/error.log:
2017-12-31 03:50:05 v-update-sys-vesta 'vesta-nginx' [Error 19]
I did not try to run the update manually yet.
Thanks for your help.
