error during install
Re: error during install
Reinstall OS without Vesta installation, and provide access to your server.
Re: error during install
not possible, root access is protected by RSA key

Re: error during install
Don't get it, you can change the rsa key and share it? If you don't want so it's your problem, without access to the server, imperio can't analyse it. I run a lot of servers with vesta, most on ubuntu 16.04 without any problems. So maybe check on another vps provider like hetzner.de, they setup a new cloud service a few weeks ago (cheap and good) or change/setup the/ a new rsa key and share the informations.myB0B wrote:not possible, root access is protected by RSA key
Re: error during install
Hi @Imperio,
If you have an account, you can do a Digital Ocean droplet with ubuntu 16 server and try it.
Before installing Vesta, the only thing I do is apt update and upgrade, then I install Vesta.
If you don't, I can make one and give you access.
You will get the error.

Re: error during install | Restarting vesta (via systemctl)
Hi Imperio,
This issue is still happening.
Is it important or can we still make reailable Vesta droplets even with this message at installation?
1) I created u$ 5 droplet 1 GB / 25 GB Disk - Ubuntu 16.04.4 x64
2) Did curl -O http://vestacp.com/pub/vst-install.sh
3) Did bash vst-install.sh
And got this:
Setting up vesta-php (0.9.8-19) ...
[....] Restarting vesta (via systemctl): vesta.serviceJob for vesta.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status vesta.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
failed!
I insist, if you want, I can give you access to a new VM (droplet) in Digital Ocean for you to check.
Here is the complete installation output: https://www.servicehusky.com/textbin/IsY8HYH2

Re: error during install
Greetings, and sorry for interrupting.
But I have managed to install Vesta on the pretty much same setup in a new droplet in Digital Ocean:
VPS: 1GM RAM, 1 CPU, 25GB with Ubuntu 16.04.4 x64
None the less, one of the first things I did, before to install Vesta, was to create a non-root sudoer user and manage everything from there.
Also, I discovered that if you try to smash everything on it the droplet will run out of memory (mostly because of clamv). With the minimal settings installs without issues at all.
So the installation is possible.
Only issues, not fully related to this, is that you need to install Let's Encrypt by yourself and fix phpmyadmin and roundcube at hand.
