Hello folks,

I know there is thread like this. How hard is to release VestaCP for ARM architecture?
With this performance and minimal system requirements this will be the only and the best web panel for micro web servers like Raspberry Pi and other ARM like based platforms. Is there a light in the darkness? How hard is to release VestaCP for ARM ? I strongly hope there's more of packages with is needed for Debian like OS is released for ARM.

I dont understand why there is a need for arm support? In fact, you want to run a web service with vestacp, so why not just use a vps service? or host own servers like we do?

ARM is not a server platform at all, it was designed as a low power platform for mobile/embedded devices and is not capable of running dedicated services payload 24/7. These low-end hosting companies found a way to offer these cheapstake machines as a low cost selling point just to lure in more customers.

VestaCP as a webstack doesn't have a need on these architectures. Stick to mainstream server platforms and be happy.

ARM is completely relevant for data centers and especially virtualization.

https://www.avantek.co.uk/arm-server-h270-t70/

384 cores / 8TB of Ram / 8 40 Gbe / 1600 Watts in a 2U form factor.

ARM is Killing it when it comes to power per computation, and in the end that is all that really matters is lower cost better performance. Being processor architecture loyal is a fool's game.

Seriously the Vesta CP community needs be aware, and people with outdated knowledge need to adapt to change.

I had already seen posts in the forum asking and requesting a version for ARM processors.

I built a VESTA Fork for ARMv8 CPUs, and it is available on GitHub: https://github.com/LOGIQOS/vesta-arm

On that page, you can find more information.

In addition to what I mentioned on that page, I commented that the File Manager and SFTP Jail licensing system was respected.

I hope this community enjoys this contribution.

And on the question of what is required to run VESTA CP on other processors, it is simply necessary to build the VESTA packages for the desired processor architecture, this is something that is not documented in this project, at least I did not get it, just I did a little research on the content of the available packages (vesta, vesta-php and vesta-nginx) and I was able to build them for ARMv8.

It has not been tested on boards with ARMv8 (such as Raspberry PI, PINE64, or similar), it should not have problems, as I accept donations of boards to perform tests and / or adjustments.
Thank you!
I will check it on Odroid and 3 version of Raspberry Pi and report back my findings.
