How to add SSL to admin for new domains?
How to add SSL to admin for new domains?
I have my hostname secured with ssl and successfully added it as admin SSL as well
https://hostname.com:8083
Steps:
1. Issue lets encrypt for hostname at WEB tab
2. Copy the SSL certificate, SSL Intermediate and SSL Key
3. Paste it on Server > hostname Configure > Vesta SSL
4. Restart vesta
Now, if I add new domain with lets encrypt, only the website is secured with SSL.
I also want that domain to access the admin with SSL
https://newdomain.com:8083
How do I do that?

Re: How to add SSL to admin for new domains?
I already looked into this a few days.
If I am not mistaken. The goal of your script is to link the SSl certificate of:
/home/[USER]/conf/web/ssl.[DOMAIN].pem
and /home/[USER]/conf/web/ssl.[DOMAIN].key
to
/usr/local/vesta/ssl/certificate.crt
/usr/local/vesta/ssl/certificate.key
correct?
not 100% sure if this is what I am looking for
Re: How to add SSL to admin for new domains?
ah, sorry got now what ylu mean. that is not possible, because port 8083 is running by vesta service, atm you can just setup one cert for this port.
Re: How to add SSL to admin for new domains?
Thanks anyway!
I hope these can be done
https://domain1.com:8083
https://domain2.com:8083
https://domain3.com:8083
https://domain4.com:8083
All must be secured
Re: How to add SSL to admin for new domains?
Hmm, that will be not possible infact you want to use the ssl cert also for the somain itself. what you maybe can do is work with aliases:
cp.domain1.com:8083
cp.domain2.com:8083
...
Add a domain in admin, enter the aliases for each domain you have, generate a cert and use my script. then you can access vesta with valid cert on the aliases above.
cp.domain1.com:8083
cp.domain2.com:8083
...
