Curl Connection Refused

Curl Connection Refused
Hello,
I am facing an issue with the curl on my server. I get the following error when i try to connect to curl from SSH or from php -
curl: (7) Failed connect to app.domain.com:80; Connection refused
However, I am very much able to connect to other domains on the same server using curl both from ssh or php.
Issue is only with one domain i.e app.domain.com
Note: app.domain.com is my hostname.
Any help appreciated!
