How does DNS forwarding work?
How does DNS forwarding work?
My vestacp is set up on a dedicated root box.
I installed the panel using the default shell command.
I have tried logging into my domain manager and entering the IPv4 of the box in the ns1 and ns2 fields. It won't let me do that.
After that I tried entering ns1.mydomainname.com and ns2.mydomainname.com. The registrar gave me an error.
Am I doing something wrong?

Re: How does DNS forwarding work?
Hi,
usually in registrar you should able to create main NS records which are pointing to your server.
Main NS record should look like:
ns1.yourdomain.tld : SERVER_IP
ns2.yourdomain.tld : SERVER_IP (Not good solution to use one NS server. Best practice to have additional server in other provider with slave dns server)
On vesta server you should have created records for main domain and your NS records too.
