Re: Centos 7 - downgrade PHP 7.4.0RC2 to php 7.3
I say again: VestaCP just install default versions from default repositories and just can control some configs, no more and no update any software after install.sufiyanshaikh wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 8:04 pm
Very well reply grayfolk. , below is the solution (Personally tested by me to downgrade to 7.1 from 7.4):
http://www.servermom.org/upgrade-vestac ... ntos/2974/
Rather than saying its not vestacp issue, you could have at least tried to help us(That's how a good community get build). Thanks a lot for your efforts to reply on the post.
If you want upgrade/downgrade some software - you should make this manually - you cant do this using Vesta.
You just dont want to use Google and a lot of linux communities (100% of it contains answer for your question) for find answer.sufiyanshaikh wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 8:04 pm

You should understand you are on a forum where people get helped, if you not want to understand it you can just leave you are only typing nothing more waste of time!

You really need help for using google?sysadminn wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 10:05 amBetter not talk! I asked you share command and you disappeared like .. (but your fantasy here to understand which word i wanted to use)

I said you what commands i use. If something doesn’t work out for you, it’s not my fault.
And right, this is forum where people get helped, not a sysadmin beginner courses and not a platform for copypasting from another sites.

Re: Centos 7 - downgrade PHP 7.4.0RC2 to php 7.3
Did you joke? I'm say again:
1. disable remi-php5*
2. enable remi-php73
3. yum update
This is was i am doing after clean Vesta install on latest CentOS 7 x64.
Result - php 7.3 installing and working fine.

Re: Centos 7 - downgrade PHP 7.4.0RC2 to php 7.3
But that's "NOT WORKING".
Have a fresh install and you will know by yourself.
Even phpmyadmin is showing errors/warning.
We are not able to downgrade version. Even my last solution is giving problem in phpmyadmin
Re: Centos 7 - downgrade PHP 7.4.0RC2 to php 7.3
Hey Guys,
Just to say that I have experienced the same issue here on my end.
Created a fresh EC2 instance at AWS and installed CentOS7. (PHP is NOT installed at this point after installing CentOS7).
Then go to vestacp.com and create my installation script.
Install Vesta CP and now PHP 7.4.0RC2 is installed.
This happened to me first about 2 weeks ago when i spun up a new instance. I just assumed it was okay, which it is not.
So thinking i had some anomaly i spun up another fresh instance today to see if a current stable release of php was installed when installing the vesta CP.
Still installing PHP 7.4.0RC2
This is unusable in a production environment of course.
Thank goodness i found this thread, because i was scratching my head wondering how i managed to do this.
Any fresh info on this, or maybe when we can download a fresh version of VestaCP that comes with a stable version of PHP would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for helping those of us that don't have as much sysadmin experience as some of you guys do.
