Create Folder Permission Denied Via FTP
So i login with admin via ftp.
I navigate to
/home/admin/web/examplesite.com/
Following Folders are
- cgi-bin
- logs
- private
- public_html
- public_shtml
- stats
When i create a new folder "test 1" in this directory i receive the following response.
mkdir "/home/admin/web/examplesite.com/test1
mkdir /home/admin/web/examplesite.com/test1: permission denied
My production server runs Ubuntu 14.04 and i am able to create folders in this directory and run laravel projects out of this.
This is an new server i put together running ubuntu 18.04 which installs php7.2 when doing the vesta installation.
I have tried sudo chown -R admin:admin /home/admin/web/examplesite.com/
Via SSH and do not receive any error response codes.
Is there another way to allow modifications to this folder directory?
I assume this is a fix or change from vesta for newer Linux OS's.
Thank you,
