cron jobs wrting to /home/admin
cron jobs wrting to /home/admin
Every time one of my custom cron jobs runs, a file (filesize 0) is created in /home/admin.
Since some of the cron jobs run every 5 minutes i have more than a 1000 files each day.
How do i prevent it?
Also, these files are found in "user_dir" in the backups. How do i exclude this folder from the backup ?

Re: cron jobs wrting to /home/admin
May be right way with remove output from executed script?
Also you can redirect output (except errors) to /dev/null:
Code: Select all
* * * * * your-shell-script.sh > /dev/null
Code: Select all
* * * * * your-shell-script.sh &> /dev/null
Go to Backup - Backup exclusions.
