I want to add SSL to my Vesta CP URL but was not able to add any working ssl.

You need to create a web domain and then use that web domain's SSL certificate as the VestaCP certificate.
To do this, with the admin user you need to create a web domain with the hostname of your VestaCP.
When creating the web domain you enable ssl support.
Finally, you go to the server configuration (server menu), click on configure and select the web domain in the Vesta SSL option.
