I would like to update my vps and vestacp, I would like to know which is the highest compatible and/or advisable version to update vestacp on ubuntu server.

Thanks @eris I don't know very well what EOL is, but I can wait at least two months for vestacp to go from 18.04 and at least go to 20.4.

No te aconsejo usar VestaCP, lleva años desactualizado y tiene muchos problemas de seguridad. Aconsejo que te cambies a HestiaCp o MyVestaCP, ambos son extraídos de VestaCP, por lo que son muy parecidos. MyVestaCP is Vesta pero con actualizaciones y más seguridad, mientras que HestiaCP ha desarrollado más características y funciones, por lo que ofrece más servicios (también en seguridad).

I advise you to switch to HestiaCp or MyVestaCP, both are extracted from VestaCP, so they are very similar. MyVestaCP is Vesta but with updates and more security, while HestiaCP has developed more features and functions, so it offers more services (also in security).

Pues, como dices, vestaCp tiene problemas de seguridad, asi que empezare a mirar hestia, ademas de tener la posibilidad de actualizar Ubuntu, que asi tambien gano en seguridad.

Thanks for answering. Yes, as you say, vestaCp is outdated, in fact I have suffered an attack that I had to solve. You tell me about hestiaCP and Myvesta, of which hestia I've been looking at a bit and I liked it, besides being almost vestaCP's twin, which I was also used to. The one I didn't know was Myvesta, so I'll also look at it to see how it is. In any case, which of the two would you advise me? They are for the use of personal websites, nothing for sale or that, it is for my hobby.

Gracias por contestar. Si, como bien dices, vestaCp esta desactualzado, de hecho he sufrido algun ataque que he tenido que solventar. Me comentas hestiaCP y Myvesta, de los cuales, hestia lo he estado mirando un poco y me ha gustado, ademas al ser casi gemelo de vestaCP, que ademas ya estaba aconstumbrado. El que no conocia era Myvesta, asi que lo mirare tambien a ver que tal es. De todas formas, cual de los dos me aconsejarias? son para uso de webs personales, nada de venta ni eso, es para mi hobby.

I don't know. If you want to keep them I alive supporting them financially is a great idea...

A hosting company I owned ten years ago now has 160 dedicated/cloud servers powered by myVesta.
Can you even imagine what would be the cost of letting myVesta unmaintained?
What would be the cost of migrating 5.000 websites to another hosting panel?
