Vesta is a is an open source product. Source code has been deeply analyzed by dozen people who work with the security. There are no known security issue at the moment. Vesta doesn't store plain passwords in the database. We use salted md5 and relay on a linux Pluggable Authentication Modules aka PAM.

Thank you very much for the reply. This is very reassuring. I know the project is still under development, however when you are ready to market, posting this info and more on the main website will be very helpful.

In particular, I and other potential users just want to see that developers with serious backgrounds in security are involved in the project, and some more basic details like you just provided.

Excellent work! I am about to launch a series of websites on a digital ocean server using Vesta.

Thanks!
