Does Vesta do anything to secure my server?
I don't really know anything about server security. Other control panels I have used in the past, such as kloxo, included basic server security features. I never configured anything for security outside of kloxo, and I have never had a problem.
I know this is a very broad topic, but if I install Vesta on a clean server, is there anything else I need to do in order to ensure my server's security?
Thanks

Well, yes. This is a really complex topic. In a nutshell server with Vista Control Panel is secure enough to provide you a good sleep. However, there is always a risk. To decrease it, you can:
- update software on a regular basis (yum update / apt-get upgrade)
- use sftp instead of ftp
- use strong passwords
- configure remote ftp backups
- configure firewall

That is exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you!

So I am assuming vesta comes as secure as it can get out of the box.
Do you have any tutorials on recommend firewall settings for Vesta?

When it comes to security and firewall it is always very specific. Some finds fail2ban easy and handy. Others think that csf is more flexible and powerful. You might be also interested in direct iptables control. Just don't forget to add port 8083 for vesta web interface, rest is basically the same as any other webserver.
