Is it safe to install Vesta on existing databases?
Is it safe to install Vesta on existing databases?
Hi,
I installed Vesta on a Debian VMWare virtual machine I used to test my VPS setup. Installation worked perfectly but when Vesta had to install MySql and Apache (that were both already installed) warned me that they would be overwritten. I would like to now, if I install Vesta on my real VPS which runs a number of web sites that use MySql, will these databases be safe of Vesta installation may somehow corrupt them? Thank you.

I think you answered your own question. If it says it will over write odds are it will. :) My advice is to backup all your existing DB and then re-add them once Vesta is installed.
