FTP Issues
FTP Issues
Hello,
In the latest VESTACP I added the website as well the website files (via my ssh account).
Once I had to give the FTP details to the customer, even if they were created under his website, the root of the FTP shows only an empty folder with the default VestaCP index file.
I should add that we use the IP as FTP address and not the domain.
Do you have any experience with it ?
Is it working ?
PS: As i read on the forum:
Can I create a global FTP user for this client so can see all his domains:
FTP: the IP addrss
USER: the vesta username
PASSWORD: the vesta password
Is it possible this way ?
Thank you.

Re: FTP Issues
Just tried and yes, it works.
The problem is that I cannot see any file there.
Also I cannot create a folder or a file (as my client).
I have to mention that all the files were created by me as root. So it can be a permission issue.
But, in this case, why i cannot create a file as main ftp user ?

Re: FTP Issues
You are again right. Its cause of permissions. You created the folder as root so any other user cant create a folder or file in that folder until you chown that folder to user.koramo wrote:Just tried and yes, it works.
