Webstats problem

Dear forum,

Since this is my first post, I would like to congratulate the VestaCP team, as well as all the contributors, for that great product! It is the most amazing experience ever!

However, I have a problem with webstats, both awstats and webalizer.

Regarding awstats: I am getting the following error when I try to access the webpage:

Code: Select all

Error: LogFile parameter is not defined in config/domain file

Setup ('/etc/awstats/conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).
I have noticed that even though file awstats.domain.tld.conf is created in /home/user/conf/web , it is empty. Directory /home/user/web/domain.tld/stats has files inside.

Regarding webalizer, I get a 403 forbidden error and I don't see any files in /home/user/web/domains.tld/stats

This is the error in my logs:

Code: Select all

[Mon Jun 02 00:18:17.789679 2014] [autoindex:error] [pid 18133] [client xxx.xxx.xx.xxx:32952] AH01276: Cannot serve directory /home/user/web/domain.tld/stats/: No matching DirectoryIndex (index.html,index.cgi,index.pl,index.php,index.xhtml,index.htm) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive
Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

alexcy, I had the same problem with the configuration files being created but they were empty. I just copied the configuration template file for awstats and filled in the correct paths & usernames and awstats worked for me. I have not tried to get webalizer working since then.

The template I used was in /usr/local/vesta/data/templates/web/awstats/awstats.tpl

just an opinion...

awstat and webalizer are server resource hog ... might as well just use google analytics on your website instead

That's a real pain to do for each user requesting stats! I guess it must be a permissions problem.

Google Analytics is better indeed, however if users are asking for awstats/webalizer, I have to provide it to them, since it is a feature in Vesta.

Btw, I have done what you proposed and I am still getting this error message:

Error: LogFile parameter is not defined in config/domain file

Setup ('/etc/awstats/conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).

Did you find anything imperio? Or too soon to ask?

Thank you once again.
