Backup Question

Ahoy,
I installed VestaCP a few days ago, and am really impressed. Works fantastic.
I have a question about backups.
Do backups count toward the packages total web space?
For Example: Package "Blue" allows 1 gig of space. 300 megs are being used for the site. There are 3 backups 100 megs in size. Does VestaCP record the total space used as 600megs (300 megs for site+3 backups) or only 300 megs.
