Vesta CP restore function - amazing!

I've got Vesta CP deployed on 3 servers running a variety of websites. I'm transferring the auto-generated backups to Amazon's S3 storage service on a daily basis.

I decided it was time to check my backup system to make sure I could recover my servers quickly and simply in the case of a server crash or hack.

I span up another virtual machine (using VULTR - excellent service!) and installed Vesta CP.

I then followed the instructions in the Vesta CP documentation to restore a backup - I used "scp" to upload the backup, then restored using v-restore-user.

Amazing! It was so straightforward - everything just WORKED. I tried it with backups from all 3 servers and they all restored correctly, even those using databases. No need to create mySQL users, or manually install the database. It was all done automatically.

Hats off to you, Vesta CP. My practice "crisis" restore worked flawlessly.

I'm so glad I chose to use Vesta CP.
