please backup your Statement by defining "a lot of Bugs" you've encountered and the "Security issues" you observed.

Don't just spread words of "terror" without a valid discussion.

and remember, Security is a Process, not a product.
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6980 just upload this script in one of your accounts, you will see whole server is browsable/downloadable/deletable (all accounts) this is what happens when you make a default vesta install.

vesta is an alternative to webmin, it is just an interface of automation.

people like me expect some security measures to be taken by default.

What bugs me the most is the rarity of releases. You would expect bug fixing releases every month, separate from feature but no.

This project is doomed if dev's will continue like that.

No mariaDB, no nginx'less setup, no PHP compilation from Source, people are stuck with old PHP and Apache versions.

I really like the idea of clean and light panel, but i'm so tired of fixing bugs over all vesta servers...

After struggling with vesta for a year, now I moved to cpanel. vesta is a great project, but not definitely for me.
it's your choice and right :-(

Yep, but configs check it's up to user/admin.

I understand your position, like admin I'm tired too, tired all time and sleepy, but need to understand and coders too and I'm calmly fix some rare bugs on my and clients servers with Vesta. It's nice to make free product, it's good to support users, but it's free and in free time. Vesta dead and doom? Don't think so.

Any updates guys?

For me priority are bug fixes and security. There are numerous small bugs that need to be addressed, which are annoying. I dont mind waiting for new features even for another 6 months. However I don't like the uncertainty of the future of Vesta. It is by far the best panel I have ever used and that's the only reason I am still here waiting.

Im seriously considering moving everything somewhere else now.

Bugs are starting to emerge daily and its just not worth it.

VestaCP is keeping quiet, at least let us know if you are still planning to release the update? We seriously do appreciate your free panel and we are more than happy to help you out on paid upgrades.

I would love to see any found security holes fixed as well as proper IPv6 support. I did the Hurricane Electric IPv6 certification and I spent more time editing Apache, Nginx & bind config files than I did taking the tests. I did learn a fair amount though.

I don't actually let any access my VestaCP install unless they do a SSH tunnel (me included), so I do one level of security through obscurity that way.

Thanks for your believe! ^_^
