server often down (upstream timed out)

Recently, my server often down, Web & SSH can not log in, only to restart the server, CentOS 6.5 32bit +VestaCP

You cannot login via SSH?

Check server graphs in service provider, maybe your server is under extreme load. SSH should be always accessible, make sure you are using right password, right port (change it to non default).

Hi guys,

I have similar errors in my VPS (installed VestaCP on Centos 6.5). Recently I'm always getting "upstream timed out" where the server will crawl and eventually throw an "Internal Server Error"...

I tried looking up the stats using Top and everything looks ok. The ave server load is in fact very low because I'm the only user in this site since it is not launched yet. The I/O wait seems fine. Available memory, disk space is fine too.

Would really appreciate if someone can help me please.

I saw the link to the fix posted below but I'm wondering does increasing the time-out helps to solve the root cause? Besides the transaction I'm performing is usually very quick (several seconds at most).

Connection timeouts - it's not a reason, but consequence.
It's may be resource problem, on vps server neighbors are aggressive.
