Follow this - https://vestacp.com/docs/#how-to-setup- ... ameservers

Setup your domain first under your registrar.

I'm having the same problem, I have settings all correct at GoDaddy for my domain name and host names, but my named server won't start on my end. I have another thread about it in the DNS section, had some suggestions, so far it still won't start or run. So it doesn't matter if it is set up correctly on your domain name host, if we can't get the dns server to run on our end it's useless.

Mine is on ubuntu 14.04... the details are in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9486. I've not solved the problem, but I have switched to Debian 7 minimal install, and all seems to be working, even after installing MariaDB over mysql. Must be some kind of ubuntu issue.....

Since it's a new install and I am still tinkering, I may try Debian 8 and see if that works too. Nice to be able to use the latest versions, helps to future proof yourself from headaches later....
