Re: HOWTO Install ngx_pagespeed (Google PageSpeed)
Don't bother with this... Pagespeed is appreciated to HTTP/2 now and all you need is to add "ssl http2" in front of your site block in nginx.conf. (be aware your nginx should be > v1.9)

Re: HOWTO Install ngx_pagespeed (Google PageSpeed)
YES but I use just for the page no SSL
therefore I can not take http / 2 also.
Or I understand here what fundamentally wrong now

Re: HOWTO Install ngx_pagespeed (Google PageSpeed)
No you are right on your effort... but please know that Pagespeed is already been deprecated and Last Months chrome Update was about this only. So whatever efforts you do now are all going to get wasted.
If you want to take Pain... install a free SSL Certificate from Let's Encrypt, test everything under SSL
Then Switch it to HTTP/2 from nginx. Thats what is recommended

What do you mean depreciated? The PageSpeed service is depreciated -- but that's nothing to with PageSpeed module.mehargags wrote:but please know that Pagespeed is already been deprecated and Last Months chrome Update was about this only. So whatever efforts you do now are all going to get wasted.

Ok how should I now generally proceed to the Page Speed module on a Debian8 can install 0.9.8-16 undergone minimally with VestaCP?
Think also really not that is outdated or no longer needed it.

When you execute command, are you root? If not put sudo before the command.

Re: HOWTO Install ngx_pagespeed (Google PageSpeed)
yes I'm root when I run the command
Re: HOWTO Install ngx_pagespeed (Google PageSpeed)
This sounds like a permission error. Can you move the directory 'ngx_pagespeed-1.11.33.2-beta' somewhere other than /root/ and that should fix the issue. Failing that, you can chmod /root/ 777 (recursively) and once completed set the permissions back to normal on the /root/ folder.web-seo-consulting wrote:yes I'm root when I run the command
