Timeout fetching / renew certificate (letsencrypt)
Timeout fetching / renew certificate (letsencrypt)
My ssl certificate is expirerd (letsencrypt)
I have disabled it and enabled it again but on save it gives me the error code 2.
When i try using it with cli i get this message:
"Error: Fetching http://**domain***/.well-known/acme-challenge/SQ8FrJNYLyyp1Q_q8J5r0gy_vqGaJezo2JTC0yVQfAk: Timeout"
Have a couple of domains more with ssl installed without any problems.
What can i do to solve this problem?
Need it a bit fast (can pay for a fast fix)

Re: Timeout fetching / renew certificate (letsencrypt)
Do you can reach the domain correctly with your browser? On my side, error 2 occurs, if i've created a (sub) web domain without deleting out the not needed www domain (missing a record). For example: test.domain.tld (www.test.domain.tld has no a record, so is not reachable).
Re: Timeout fetching / renew certificate (letsencrypt)
yes í can reach the domain normally.
With and without www.
The certificate has always worked.
But now is also the problem when I type https I go to an other site. Hosted on the same vps with an ssl cert.

Re: Timeout fetching / renew certificate (letsencrypt)
hmm, you should reach the right site anyway, the ssl status does not matter. so it seems to be a problem with the configuration. do you have any direct modification inside of the nginx/apache2 conf files? If not, try to disable ssl, then rebuild user (v-rebuild-user username), reenable ssl (create a selfsigned cert), then check if you can access your site. if this works, disable ssl again, then reenable ssl with checking the let's encrypt box. No warranty that this will help, there is also the option that the problem will be bigger because the user rebuild.Negahrev wrote:yes í can reach the domain normally.

Re: Timeout fetching / renew certificate (letsencrypt)
Send me a pn with the server and login detials. will have a look if you want.
Re: Timeout fetching / renew certificate (letsencrypt)
problem fixed: there was a ipv6 record set for the domain, this created the timeout.
