Open_basedir problems while installing Moodle.
Open_basedir problems while installing Moodle.
Hi All,
I've installed VestaCP 0.9.8-17 on a clean Ubuntu 16.04 system with PHP 7.0
Created a sub-domain, with an 'lets-encrypt' ssl certificate op the public_html folder.
copied the -to be installed- moodle files to this folder and wanted to install.
But then I got an complained about open_basedir
Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/admin/web/elo.MYDOMAIN.work/moodledata) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/admin/web/MYDOMAIN.work/public_html:/home/admin/tmp) in /home/admin/web/elo.MYDOMAIN.work/public_html/install.php on line 333
Warning: is_writable(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/admin/web/elo.MYDOMAIN.work) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/admin/web/elo.MYDOMAIN.work/public_html:/home/admin/tmp) in /home/admin/web/elo.MYDOMAIN.work/public_html/install.php on line 337
Tried to make changes to disable open_basedir to none in the basedir.stpl file. No effect.
Any suggestions?
thanks
Hans

Re: Open_basedir problems while installing Moodle.
Add your path /home/admin/web/elo.MYDOMAIN.work/moodledata to Open_basedir

Re: Open_basedir problems while installing Moodle.
Hi Skurudo,
What file should be modified?
I searched for php.ini, *.tpl and stpl files. Don't know where to change and/or add.
Hans.
