I have followed the different tutorials available on this forum but I have a problem.
I'm running Debian 8 and when I execute the command php -v, the console returns :
However, when I go to a php file containing the phpinfo(); command, I'm still on PHP Version 5.6.30-0+deb8u1.

There are atleast 50 threads and 100 other sites that give you proper procedure for this, you could have tried to search.
