Multi site hosting on vesta
Multi site hosting on vesta
Hello everyone.
I have a small problem.
I have a vps where I installed vesta cp, which in turn I installed a site in wp and it works great. Now I have migrated another wp site that I would like to host, I have migrated the site, the db and connected everything.
I created the domain I redirected from ovh to the ip of my server but despite this I can't reach the new site that I uploaded.
What am I doing wrong? how can i solve?
Thanks so much

Re: Hosting multisito su vesta
Did you create a new web account for that domain? I believe so since you got the name of the website when you visited.
It doesn't hurt to cross-check if...
1. The domain is created in the web section of vesta
2. Make sure you are using the public IP address of your server; it is usually the second one in the IP address dropbox
You said: "I have migrated another wp site that I would like to host, I have migrated the site, the db and connected everything."
Did you migrate the website content under admin/web/anotherwebsitename.com/public_html?
Cross-check if the files you migrated are sitting here:
Code: Select all
cd ~admin/web/anotherwebsitename.com/public_html
Re: Multi site hosting on vesta
what I did:
vesta cp
1 web add domain
domain name, public ip of the machine
web template "hosting" then changed to "default"
active ssl
ftp and I saved
from the ftp created on the site
I uploaded the bk of the old hosting
I went to phpmyadmin
I created the db and imported all the db.
are from ovh I set the dns.
I can't find the path you gave me.

Re: Multi site hosting on vesta
In what directory did you uploaded this?I uploaded the bk of the old hostin
It should be under the public_html of that new domain you created in the web section.
So, this is what you should confirm, log back into d ftp of that site, and crosscheck if you uploaded the backups under the public_html.
Moreover, If your backup file is in zip format or any format, make sure you are extracting it under the public_html directory and not on a new folder.
Let me know how it goes!
Re: Multi site hosting on vesta
Do you have delete default index.html?. You have to delete Index.html yo work index.php from WP.
