I have placed a personal error (404) page on a site within the:
/home/$user/web/domain.co.uk/document_errors - directory, however where are the default pages that apache serves.

At this time I have the following on a 403 -

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS)

Are they in - /usr/local/vesta/web/error ?? If so what's the format as I have 2 directories - 1 X 404 and 1 X 403 each with a index.html page, but apache is still showing the default.

Ok, so basically I have figured out that the personal 404 pages within the /home/$user/web/domain.co.uk/document_errors work fine (I was looking at a subdomain for my ns records >.< fool.)

So, is it possible to amend the templates for the default error pages that Vesta makes for each hosting package.

Cheers.

You can change default error pages in this directory

Code: Select all

/usr/local/vesta/data/templates/web/skel/document_errors
