Re: Change vestacp URL to domain and limit
as you connect on port 8083 just use a name that points to your server - and it will work.
Re: Change vestacp URL to domain and limit
How do i add it in config?
Re: Change vestacp URL to domain and limit
you did not need.
situation:
Server IP: 1.2.3.4
Servername: one.example.com
in the DNS you have for the Server the following entries:
one.example.com
two.example.com
three.example.com
-------------
you point your browser to https://one.example.com:8083 https://two.example.com:8083 https://three.example.com:8083 it will always show the same page as there is the default configuration for the nginx that servers your panel is not bound to a specific name.

Re: Change vestacp URL to domain and limit
edit /usr/local/vesta/nginx/conf/nginx.conf and replace server_name _; with server_name panel.domain.com; so you will have a named host.
You should also ensure to have a rewrite rule to jump to panel.domain.com if not panel.domain.com. or define a default server with contain nothing.

Re: Change vestacp URL to domain and limit
i cant get it to work, if i create another domain it is possible to acceess vestacp anyways
Re: Change vestacp URL to domain and limit
without knowing your nginx configuration its just guessing ...
Re: Change vestacp URL to domain and limit
It doesn't work. After I did this, I can still use the VestaCP Panel bij adding :8083 to every random domain I have running on the server. For safetyreasons I just want panel.domain.com to lead to the control panel. When you add :8083 to any other domain, just nothing may happen.jalogisch wrote:edit /usr/local/vesta/nginx/conf/nginx.conf and replace server_name _; with server_name panel.domain.com; so you will have a named host.
