Vesta Control Panel - Forum

ip tables is up and running. But Vesta doesn't seem to think it is.

I can't open a port. If I add a rule to vesta to open port 1221 then nmap it, the port is still filtered.

You tried stopping and starting iptables, but that didn't work?

iptables -L -n should return a clear list of active firewall rules and chains. Do you see your entry that accepts incoming connections to port 1221 there?
