Tomcat Proxy
Tomcat Proxy
I don't know if this is a proper forum etiquette or not as I already have a forum post that pertains to the same topic but was a question to do with just running the tomcat. Whereas in this thread post, I want to know how to enable proxy on port that tomcat is running on.
So I installed VestaCP on Ubuntu 14.04 on a vps by digitalocean. I installed tomcat7 after vesta, and changed the connector port of tomcat from 8080 (default) to 8082, as that port is not being used by anything else. However, I tried proxy apache (using mod_jk) to tomcat for webapps but it didn't work then I thought maybe I should proxy nginx to tomcat, that didn't work either. My main goal here is to remove the obligation of port usage to access webapps through tomcat7.
Anyone have any idea or a starting point as to how I can do that with vesta installed.
[Edit: I also tried mod_proxy on apache, no luck. I have no idea why it's not working. When I try using the same steps without vesta installed, it works]
