Do I need these functions when using Amazon SES?

I'm a newbie in this field, so I'm sorry if you find this a noob question...

In the mail setting section, I'm wondering... if I actually need those softwares while I'm intending to use Amazon SES as my email system. In other words, can I select "No" and Amazon SES will take care of all that stuff?

Any help will be appreciated!
