Hi guys,

What about some help over here. I have troubles to get my SSL cert working for email account which I am trying to configure on outlook. It used to work fine before I upgraded to better VPS and added one more additional IP address to my hosting.

So before I had only one IP address ( x.xxx.001.001 ) where the VestaCP and all the domains was sharing it and I had only one SSL cert for one of my domains installed... It all worked fine regarding emails and everything else. However, now I have 2 IP addresses where the original one is only used for the admin website and the VestaCP.

I do use the second IP address ( x.xxx.202.002 ) only for my other domains ( websites ) for my own projects and my client's projects and 2 of the domains has SSL certificate installed and working fine for web but the mail server is installed and using the original IP ( x.xxx.101.001 ) which has no purchased SSL cert and the VestaCP is using only the default self signed certificate.

I am just wondering if I'll purchase and install the SSL cert on the main IP ( x.xxx.001.001 ) my issue will be solved ?

Can you just point me to the right direction as I don't have much experience regarding mail servers and SSL certs

Thank you for any kind of suggestions

Hello,

I really need your help here. All seems to be working kinda fine regarding sending/receiving emails. The issue is with SSL certificate when configuring an email client like Outlook.

I have 2 IP addresses. When configuring Outlook, it's showing the certificate is issued to my host IP address A instead of the B shared IP address what I use for all my domains. All my domains and host are encrypted with COMODO SSL Certificates, and all my websites and the host are working with no issues. However, I cannot figure out where or how to configure my SSL certs for emails properly, so all my emails will be properly encrypted when sent/recieved using a email clients like outlook.

Please help.

Thank you
