Email disk usage

Hello,

I'm hosting some site with a little bit more than a hundred email accounts. All is working fine, but the email disk usage is growing big... Right now it's about 1.5 GB, Backups are also growing fast for this matter...

So my questions are:
+ Is there a way to free the email disk space/database/attachments ?
+ Is there a way to automatically remove messages from server once opened/downloaded ?

I'm not in a hurry for disk space right now, but I don't neither want to be... And I know I will...

we have same issue.

we want delte older emails we have 5.4GB on one account.
How we can remove all older emails?.
Exist any CLI command for this task?
