Forward to Mail Server

Post by Rayman » Mon Aug 08, 2016 6:27 pm

Hi,

I am looking to have a setup where a mail-server on vestacp will filter out spam (via spamassassin...etc) and then forward the email to another email server (such as a Microsoft Exchange Mail Server).

Is there a way to do this on VestaCP or any other workaround?

By default VestaCP scans the e-mails for SPAM then forwards them -- but only if they are marked as "spam free". Any spam e-mails will end up in the spam folder and will not be forwarded. Does that answer your question?

You get the point though.

Change VestaCP to Exim in my reply and it's all gravy.

Is there a way to achieve this via VestaCP? Basically set the Mail Server IP it will forward to (for domains that want it to be forwarded). It will basically act as a mail server that checks for spam, and then forwards the non-spam to the microsoft exchange server. Not all domains will want to use the forwarding option.
