ClamAV + CentOS 7.2 Issue
ClamAV + CentOS 7.2 Issue
Has anyone solved this?
What is funny is that I don't even expect a response. The lack of any kind of activity / support makes me think I should just dump the panel and do everything using command line.
Anyway on the off chance someone does actually come along.
VestaCP + CentOS 7.2
Everything worked fine at first then the next day started having issues.
Sending from inside webmail works but trying to connect to the server from outside gets a server response 451 temporary local problem -- please try again later.
I also can't receive mail.
These were e-mails that were working previously.
I checked the logs which led me to dozens of topics with people having issues with VestaCP on CentOS 7.2 when they have ClamAV installed.
I found the How to Fix Irritable ClamAv and Centos 7 Email Issues topic viewtopic.php?f=12&t=12239 and followed the repair tutorial to no success. I find in the comments that other people also are having the same issue with the fix not working for them.
So what is the final verdict? Is there a solution? Should people just use an older version of CentOS? Dump VestaCP completely and just set things up manually?

Re: ClamAV + CentOS 7.2 Issue
I had the same problem with you. My solution was to remove ClamAV
Now, just wait for the next version that should be released in 15 days.

Re: ClamAV + CentOS 7.2 Issue
I ended up figuring it out.
I found this post here: viewtopic.php?t=10730#p40115
It involves making two changes to clamd.conf and one change to exim.conf and problem was solved.
I obviously appreciate the work that the VestaCP team has put in for a program that is free but for initiatives like this to take off there needs to be a vibrant support community. It is nice when the users can do it for the developers but if that isn't happening organically then the developers need to prime it to get it going.
