Can send an e-mail, however that gets put into the spam folder on Gmail, cannot receive any e-mails.

Can send an e-mail, however that gets put into the spam folder on Gmail, cannot receive any e-mails.

I discovered this error when I gone to reset my Apple password. I noticed that I have no e-mails from Apple, so I did a test and sent an e-mail to my Gmail account and it gone to the spam folder, why I don’t know, so I then sent myself an e-mail and no e-mail shows up. I notice this is an issue on user accounts, not the admin account.


I’m not sure what is going on. I did a clean installation.

There are multiple factors affecting this like

1. Your MX, SPF, DKIM records are properly setup ?

2. Is your server's IP blacklisted ?

3. tail your exim log and see what it is saying about errors in delivery

If they where not properly setup, I won't know how to fix them. Maybe the error logs will tell me.

No, as fair as I am aware they are not blacklisted.

3. tail your exim log and see what it is saying about errors in delivery
If I am looking at the right log, I don't see anything that is odd, other than IPs are know to spam have tried to send e-mails but failed. If that does not answer the question, than I do not know what your asking me to look at to post here.

exim log
When I sent myself a test e-mail Google says this "DNS Error: 6360745 DNS type 'mx' lookup of afn.me responded with code SERVFAIL". This is on a user account.

Hi,

Try configuring your mail again. You can also go for the default settings while configuring your mail again.

Hi,

Your email settings probably need to be reset to default. I cannot think of any other fix to this.

It can be due to your MX, SPF, DKIM records are properly setup, or if your server's IP blacklisted or tail your exim log and see what it is saying about errors in delivery.
