RoundCube server login fails - passwd-file
RoundCube server login fails - passwd-file
Ok so I have seriously spend hours on this. This was my last form of attack at this point.
I have Vesta install on AWS micro instance running Ubuntu 18.04. Everything seems to work correctly minus the emails.
In my panel I have two domains added. I am now trying to add email address for each one.
Each domain has two accounts. But none of them work to log in. RoundCube just give "connection to storage server failed"
/var/log/dovecot.log:
/etc/dovecot/conf.d/auth-passwdfile.conf.ext:
Under etc I have /etc/exim4/domains/domain1/passwd and /etc/exim4/domains/domain2/passwd . The files do exist and the users are in the files. I just cant get the system to see them.
Any idea ? I tried to rebuild the user, but that did not fix the issue.
Also tried to adjust after the ssl chmod 640 /usr/local/vesta/ssl/*

Code: Select all
auth: Error: passwd-file(copier,123.456.123.456): stat(/etc/exim4/domains//passwd) failed: No such file or directory
As you can see a directory name is missing in the path.
In the Dovecot configuration this missing string seems to be the %d variable.
Code: Select all
passdb {
driver = passwd-file
args = scheme=MD5-CRYPT username_format=%n /etc/exim4/domains/%d/passwd
}
userdb {

args = username_format=%n /etc/exim4/domains/%d/passwd

Re: RoundCube server login fails - passwd-file
After some more tests, i also realized that you I cant get anything to log in from outside. Is there a tutorial on how to get VestaCP installed on EC2 Ubuntu? I mean mine works just not the email.
Re: RoundCube server login fails - passwd-file
More to the dam saga.
Maybe it is just EC2, but also the php mail() does not work. I tryed installing sendmail but no luck sadly. I cant see how i am the only one having this issues.
