email sending problems

Hello,

It seems I can't send emails out of my server to other domains but only to domains on the same server that belong to me. What is wrong? Did I configured something wrong? What could it be? Or VPN provider blocked something? There is no error message. It says message sent successfully but I don't get the email. No spam block, I checked. Please help.

Regards

If you’re coming across problems while sending emails while connected to a VPN or a VPN router then you first need to understand that why is it happening. I am explaining it to you to the best of my knowledge.
VPNs mostly restrict your ability to send emails. VPN providers often do this because of the privacy issues.
VPN companies don’t want suspected or malicious users to access their IP addresses because it makes their IP addresses black listed and badly affects the quality of their service.
There are three possible solutions to the problem:
1.Use a different email port instead of your existing port. You can try port 587 or 465.
2.Disconnect your VPN, then access your emails.
3.Change your existing VPN server that you’re using currently. A new VPN server may help you to access e-mail services.

Hi, this might be caused because of the VPN you're using. Most VPNs block certain emails (sending or recieving) if they're alerted with suspicious activity. Try and contact your VPN provider regarding this issue. Plus just in case you think the VPN is the issue, why not try switching providers? I'm using NordVPN and haven't face any issues like these so far. Disconnect with your current VPN and retry sending the emails using the free trial and see if the same issue takes place.

Hey,

:) have you tried using other distros? Worked fine with me. I'm on Debian atm. Not sure if it's CentOS causing problems. seems unlikely but let's eliminate each cause one by one. :/ Also did you try changing your VPN? I am using Ivacy and you can try that out to eliminate this VPN possibility. They have a trial plan at their home, https://www.ivacy.com/ so you won't have to blow money on something just to test it out.

Other than that, you can also check out sites like temp-mail.org and guerillamail and use fake email addresses to check if mails from other domains are resulting in the same issue.

I fast tried checking it from multiple sites you mentioned above but then I tried another vpn i.e Surfshark and i simply get rid of that VPN possibility. Choosing Surfshark vpn as privacy tool is key to avoid such issues otherwise they areat times very time consuming and painful.
