TLS Negotiation failed, the certificate doesn't match the host., code: 0

hi everyone,
i have a server with multiple domains.
i setup emails for each domain and configure gmail to send a recieve emails via smtp and pop.
all work fine until a week ago when i stopped getting mails.
i tried to re-configure the same credentials and got this message:
"TLS Negotiation failed, the certificate doesn't match the host., code: 0"
can someone help/direct me to the solution?
