Dovecot Issue
Dovecot Issue
Hi I was trying to resolve an issue in that I could send but not receive emails, I tried editing the default mail file location in dovecot but now I can't access my webmail and I cannot remember what the old file location was to put it back. Can anybody advise what the standard mail file location is so I can add it back?

Re: Dovecot Issue
Please explain what you exactly mean with 'mail locatiin in dovecot'. This thread might be of assistance (second post, which has a sample config w/ default locations: http://forum.vestacp.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7126waynebr76 wrote:Hi I was trying to resolve an issue in that I could send but not receive emails, I tried editing the default mail file location in dovecot but now I can't access my webmail and I cannot remember what the old file location was to put it back. Re: Dovecot Issue
HI I use Webmin and in the Dovecot mail files I have a couple of options: Detect Automatically, Inbox and folders in ~/Maildir, Inbox under /var/mail, folders in ~/mail, Inbox in ~/Maildir, folders in ~/mail and Other Dovecot location. I'm sure that on initial set up it had something in Other Dovecot location. I tried changing it and it deleted what was in other Dovecot location. The only other option that allows me to save without an error is detect automatically but doing this the Dovecot does not start in VestaCP

Re: Dovecot Issue
It's been a while for me using webmin ( I always do ssh only, a personal preference of course), so you can do two things.waynebr76 wrote:HI I use Webmin and in the Dovecot mail files I have a couple of options: Detect Automatically, Inbox and folders in ~/Maildir, Inbox under /var/mail, folders in ~/mail, Inbox in ~/Maildir, folders in ~/mail and Other Dovecot location. 1. I can give you a copy of original dovecot files after a fresh Vesta install, or...
2. You can wait for somebody with more webmin knowledge than I have atm to guide you through this.
Re: Dovecot Issue
