Email being sent from wrong IP address
Hi
I'm still new to VestaCP but I'm getting the hang of it now.
I assigned a private IP address to a user but the mail is being indicated as being sent from the servers other ip address.
I need this user to have all their email sent through their own ip.
The DNS menu created a SPF record for the IP I want the mail to be sent through but the mail was sent through wrong mail, this meant I had to change the SPF record manually until the issue is fixed.
Thanks guys

Re: Email being sent from wrong IP address
I'm having almost the same problem. Why has no-one replied to this question after half a year?
For me,
- A domain we'll call a.com had an IP address we'll call 23.23.23.23, with DNS, mail etc all configured to use self-named private nameservers and this IP
- A new domain we'll call b.com was added with its own private IP we'll call 116.116.116.116
- Suddenly, emails from a.com started failing because they were sent via 116.116.116.116 instead of 23.23.23.23 which caused many recipients (notably, Hotmail) to reject them outright.
What's going on here? Why is Vesta using the wrong IP address for these emails?
