Vesta Control Panel - Forum

Hi,

Im using an external dns services and pointed my domain to my server with Vesta
i did setup my domain in Vesta and website is running
only problem is that website without www is not working. another domain with the exact same configuration is working fine with and without www.

i see in vesta also DNS settings do i need that?
in external dns services i added a cname for www, thats ok but why isn't it working without www?
i'm also using nginx
i'm lost i dont have enough dns and nginx skills to troubleshoot this

i really dont know what and where to change.
Any ideas?

try to add www as A record
no need to use DNS in vesta if you are using external DNS control
I have deleted my records anyway

can no delete all dns records.
At least 1 A record and 1 NS record must be available....

can i delete domain and just recreate it without dns?
what about database?

deleted most of the dns in Vesta, did a check with http://dnscheck.pingdom.com/
now i get errors!

Delegation not found at parent.

No delegation could be found at the parent, making your zone unreachable from the Internet.

Not enough nameserver information was found to test the zone http://www.****.nl, but an IP address lookup succeeded in spite of that.

looks like i need the settings in Vesta.
is this because of nginx?
