Vesta Control Panel - Forum

I have just installed Vesta on a Digital Ocean droplet. I am a bit confused as to DNS. I would like to manage my DNS in the Digital Ocean which i do currently. What setting do i need to change to manage DNS outside of vesta?

If i understand you correctly. You dont want to host dns server on the same droplet. So you want to use external dns.
WEll as part of vesta you dont need to do anything. While creating domain , uncheck the DNS Support , from the domain name.

In your DNS management just create an A record to point to the ip of your droplet , and you are all set.

In your domain settings , you should use the name servers provided to you by the digital ocean
