Vesta Control Panel - Forum

Hello everybody,

I have succesfully configured VestaCP and it's running fine with my namerservers set to, let's say:

ns1.myfirstsite.com
ns2.myfirstsite.com

There are 2 more sites running on this configuration over user admin. To keep the administration chores easy. I have created another user to host a site with 11 Wordpress sites, each on it's own subdomain. Let's say this site is named mysecondsite.com and the user is user2. Every time I add a subdomain (I'm using this solution http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2590 ... gitalocean), the dns records shows

ns1.mysecondsite.com
ns2.mysecondsite.com

as the nameservers records, as it is supposed to be.

Can I change these ns entries to use ns1.myfirstsite.com and ns2.myfirstsite.com instead ?

I have only one IP on the vps, and I don't know if I can use the same IP for two sets of nameservers...

Hi cyberale, since nobody has answered your question i will add my limited experience to this.

I believe it is ok to add the same IP for each name server, i've read that the second one is supposedly used as a backup but you are fine to use the same IP, i've done it.

i am not sure about using the same IP for each website though.. you should be able to.

When I setup VestaCP, before I added any domains or dns, I made sure the ns records for the default recoards, which are under Admin, were correct.
Then I went to the default package and made sure the ns records were correct there as well.

After that, all my domains inside VestaCP point to:
ns1.firstsite.com
ns2.firstsite.com

All that's left to do is add those name servers to the domain registrar's:
thisdomain.tld
-ns1.firstsite.com
-ns2.firstsite.com
thatdomain.tld
-ns1.firstsite.com
-ns2.firstsite.com

i have setuped a server with his own nameserver now i bought an nother server

i wanna ask if i can make the names server on the two servers ?
for example : ns1.mydomain.com to the first server and ns2.mydomain.com on the second server
now i treid it like : mydomain.com on one server and then child-ns template.
then in the dns record i changed the ns2 A record to the second server ip
now i only can reache ns2.mydomain.com but when i add a domain on the second server then it dosnt work
