Subdomain and Cloudflare
Subdomain and Cloudflare
Hello,
I have been using vestacp for almost 2 weeks now and everything seems to be working fine, but yesterday i wanted to add a subdomain to one of my domains using it as a blog.domain.com
It didnt work for me, just to mention iam using cloudflare on the main domain, dont know if that makes any difference.
I have tried the following guide
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2590 ... gitalocean
following is the things i have tried:
add subdomain, add cname to the man domain, changing the ns to cloudflare same as the main domain, even tried using the normal ns, but didnt help.
Removed the records of the subdomain and only left cname in main domain, didnt work.
I dont know if iam doing something wrong, keep getting DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
if someone can guide me.
Thanks

Re: Subdomain and Cloudflare
I have come a little closer to solving the issue, i tried creating a subdomain on another domain that i dont have cloudflare on and it worked without any problems.
So the issue is from cloudflare, can someone tell me how i should configure cloudflare to make subdomain work on it?

Re: Subdomain and Cloudflare
IF you use cloudflare for main just add CNAME yoursubdomain name then point it to your main domain or type @.
I believe it's also possible to use a different name server for your subdomain instead of using cloudflare but to do that you have to add the nameserver to your main domain name first. So go to cloudflare then add NS or Nameserver under the host or name add your subdomain ex. me.you.com then add your prefererred nameserver ex ns1.you.com Then create another record and choose "A" add ns1.you.com then point it to your ipaddress.

Re: Subdomain and Cloudflare
just add an A record in CloudFlare for your subdomain and point to the same IP for which your subdomain is configured in VESTACP
like if
blog.domain.com A 192.168.789.456

blog.domain.com A 192.168.789.456
Re: Subdomain and Cloudflare
Mail I got recently when I got problem again
Please be informed if you have made changes to the Operating System prior to this issue.
Also, as you have mentioned non stock Windows apps are unable to connect to internet, it seems to be an issue with proxy server settings.
I suggest you to uninstall the browser from Programs and features and reinstall it from the website.
You can also uninstall the browser from the Control Panel:
1. Press Windows + x key to open a task list from the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. Select Control Panel.
3. Select Programs and Features.
4. Right click on Google Chrome and select uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions.
5. Check the Also delete your browsing data box and then click the Uninstall button to remove Google Chrome from your computer. The process may take up to a minute.
Try to download Google Chrome
If the issue still persists with Google Chrome, I suggest you to contact this website.
