How to properly setup DNS for VestaCP?
How to properly setup DNS for VestaCP?
I've got Namecheap pointing ns1.MyDomain.com and ns2.MyDomain.com over to my server ip. On vestaCP i have A records for both of these as well under my domain's DNS records.
What i am asking is, is the DNS properly setup? i am having a problem with setting up mail SPF/PTR/MX records to allow outgoing mail to be accepted by the common email providers.
It looks like a mess, I've had my server provider reverse the server ip to my domain but i am not sure it is setup properly to work. Can somebody who is familiar with the way VestaCP DNS configuration is made to be setup explain this?
Currently along with the default VestaCP records i have an @ PTR record with the ip value: My.Reversed.Server.IP.in-addr.arpa.
