Vesta Control Panel - Forum

I have a small issue with a subdomain.
I need to have a subdomain to point to an ip different of my server, so i created the subdomain on the domain area and then edited the www A record to the ip.

when i use www.mysubdomain.domain.com it works fine but the version without www goes to the standard vestacp page... what am i missing? i have even changed all the ip from the remaining dns records and still no result.

Have you tied to just add A records in your main domain?

VestaCP ---> DNS ---> Select your domain and add:
www.subdomain A IP_from_other_server
subdomain A IP_from_other_server

That should work.

this is impossible a subdomain from a original domain working on another servers ip ?
without any proxy to that server or landing server it can never work.
what you can do is forward a subdomain to another domain on the server or back .
but subdomain or domain push on internet from other servers and no proxy is imposible

i like to see that..

domains and subdomains belong to a ip are belongs together and are standaards of that working nameserver and that server how the hell can you wanna do a subdomain on some other server to work in a panel that is not belong to that domain.

a subdomain is working under his domain , and if you put it to another ip how can the nameserver know where to find this on internet. all subdomains must be on the same static ip for internet that is impossible

what will you say do you heard of dns ,what do you think that i am say here above , a domain works on a dns server (nameserver) and a subdomain of that domain is working under that domain , all this subdomains are working on that nameserver. a subdomain of that domain can you not working under some other static ip on another servers ip ,how the hell do will you point that subdomain on another ip ,if this lissen to another ip in the dns ( tell me smart guy...)
by the way if you are so smart how the hell and where will you place this subdomain , good software and good dns server will give you a error that is not possible to piont a subdomain to another servers ip , if you so smart let see it ,and i will test it online , but this is impossible

configuration of a nameservers static ip

a record ns1 and ns2 -> 12.12.12.12
ns records -> for 1 and 2 must be under 12.12.12.12

www -> points to domain.com
mail is mx record -> mail.domain.com (and alot of people forget to make a record two) you see this alot on that forum)

if you point a subdomain thats belong to domain.com ( you can forward it or back to another server)
by the way if you like to point a subdomain on another server (where will you point this subdomain ,under mydomain.com smart guy) the nameserver will give you error without a proxyserver that is pointing to the landing server.
alot of people talking but give me proof , you can not it can not be done)

ns1.domain.com aor 10 dns namesever must in range for the same static ip on that server ..
alot to learn in think.

if you have 3 servers local single ip and you wanna push 3 vesta panels on the internet smart guy..
1 server = the landing server that is in control of the 2 other servers ( that is porxyserver)
but for online all domains must poinnt to that single static working ip or will not work.
you can use all domains and different nameservers ,but must lissen to that single static ip from your provider ,if not dont work it that simple.

if the landing server vestacp is mydomain.com and that subdomain is test.mydomain.com

and you place that subdomain on another server (where will you put this subdomain ) first of all vesta cp have no tab for normal subdomain enter ,its is place it under normal domain tab (and that is not the way its must be done)

dont learn me about dns , i push a full working proxy server online with 3 severs in 10min

if you use let say simple dns plus dnserver try to place that subdomain or piont it inside another domain you are fuckt..

this is impossible.

a lading server that is correct working with the name local adres is http://server1 and if you test your server 2 and 3 all computers must can handle http:// server 1 http://server2 and 3 ect..

if you put that subdomain on vestacp server 2 and point it to your server 1 the proxy server will search for that subdomain and if its correct will push it on internet all 3 server on a single static ip ..

but this working on 1 vesta panel ( alot of people have try on a zpanelcp or whatever proxyserver but can not handle it to work on a single static ip.
if the domain1.com is on server 2 and the proxy is good setup the landing sever will push it online ,that is the only way.

ANd for the last time a normal dns sever can not handle a subdomain from sever 1 under some other domain on sever 2 whoehaha , i like to see that subdomain running on another domain (if its belongs to the namesevers of server1 whoehaha..
you can point is but running on that sever , i like to see some proof of that..

He has never said that it was a local ip. And why would you use this panel locally? It is not designed to use multiple panels on one Ip ...

all my server are local mister on a local ip adres but there are pionting to the static like i say alot to learn.
i work with computer from the days of amiga commodore 1980 and bbs before internet and online so i dont think i know what i am talking about.
if you put online proof dont proof local but a working server. not some proof of local on ns1 localhost..
i am sure you can not do your sever to work and because I dare to bet that you are not working server gets online
